The research project infiles is a national project funded by the Ministery of Fomento and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, coordinated by the University of Valladolid, which aims to know the airtightness of the architectural envelope in the Spanish residential sector (and with it, the infiltration rate that it originates), characterizing and quantifying both the flows and weakpoints of the usual constructive solutions, and establishing an evaluation procedure of the excess of energy consumption through an experimental study which will be carried out over all the Spanish territory.

The experimental procedure consisting on the pressurization of the indoor air volume of the building, commonly named BlowerDoor Test, is based on the EN 13829 and ISO 9972:2006 regulations, and it is usual already in most of the countries of our surroundings, which use specific requirements in order to verify the correct development of the construction work.
